MDM Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung
(media board for Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt) 
MDM supports economically interesting media productions. Focus of support are the areas of material and project development, production support, distribution/ sales and playing/presentation. The aspects of further training and market-orientated film marketing are taken increasingly into consideration in their funding strategy. One important criterion for funding is a lasting regional effect in the federal states Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. The MDM will promote the courses in the 'new German states' and recommend applicants from that region. If these applicants are accepted to the program, up to four of them will be eligible for scholarships paid for by the MDM.
