... are found in large productions involving more than one conceptor. In ad agencies or production companies, a Senior Conceptor is sometimes also called Creative Director. They develop the main idea for a multimedia project, its structure, contents and features, as well as the specifications for the user prompts. They pitch the concepts and prototypes to prospective clients or partners and help launch new projects. Together with the company management they discuss the acquisition of customers and marketing measures for products. During the production process they are responsible for the quality control and supervise the work of and train (junior) conceptors. Senior conceptors cooperate closely with the production manager to budget a production, coach the team and communicate with the product manager of the publishing or distribution house. In the case of contract work, they consult the client on their strategic orientation of their new media activities. |
