Curriculum Vitae

Monika Halkort works as media author, producer and researcher for a wide range of academic and corporate institutions in Berlin, Germany. Main focus of her work is concept and content development for interactive media and academic research on non linear narrative and storytelling.
Apart from teaching at the University of the Arts in Berlin (HDK) she is a well received lecturer and seminar hosts at film and new media festivals.
Up until 1996 Monika Halkort has worked as a documentary filmmaker for TV networks in Austria and Germany, i.e: ORF, ZDF, ARTE, PREMIERE, 3 SAT, MTV und VOX. After 10 years of filmmaking she decided to expand her media knowledge and studied multimedia scriptwriting and production at the San Francisco State University. Ever since she has been heavily engaged in exploring the potential of new media for non fiction media formats.
