Michael Rueger (*1967) left his bavarian hometown at the age of 15, began to study
art/design and learned programming. With 19, he joined the TV department at BBDO
(Advertising Agency) in Düsseldorf (Germany) as a production assistant. After
half a year, BBDO sent him off to Ridley Scott Assc. (New York) for a six month
exchange program.
Coming back from New York, he worked in the agency as a junior producer on TV
commercials for the Deutsche Telekom, Henkel and others. In 1991 he left BBDO
to work as a freelance producer. Dozens of commercials later, he joined the NDF
(Neue Deutsche Filmproduktion) to work on serial drama productions and to learn
the art of script development. During this time he produced a Cop-Show for SAT.1:
"Der König" and in 1995 accepted a job-offer from SAT.1. After one ("terrible")
year, Michael left SAT.1 for Grundy UFA Production - the nr.1 production company
for daily und weekly soaps ("Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten", "Verbotene Liebe",
"Hinter Gittern" etc.). He learned the secrets of daily soap production und worked
as a Creative Producer on new formats.
From the mid-nineties on, internet became Michael's new and lasting passion. He
plunged into the development of interactive formats. In 1999, he left Grundy Ufa
to work as a freelance Internet Entertainment Consultant and Developer. He has
developed long term relationships with clients like "Die Argonauten", "RTL New
Media" and "Bertelsmann Content Network". His specialties are: Streaming, Game-Concepts,
